Volunteer

Volunteering takes a certain type of person, especially when doing so as a bush firefighter.  Not only do you attend fires, but you are also asked to support community activities and participate in fundraising for the brigade throughout the year.

But you don’t have to be on the end of a hose to volunteer with the brigade.  There are other roles which you can perform to support the brigade that don’t require you to be active on a fireground.

So, if you live in the local area, have an interest in volunteering with the Gungahlin Rural Fire Brigade and are keen to learn new skills or utilise those you already have within a volunteering context, please visit the Volunteering ACT’s new Emergency Volunteering Portal here.
